Goals and Benefits
The growing internationalisation and globalisation of economy constantly leads to new challenges and surrounding conditions for export-oriented companies (e.g. small companies and medium-sized enterprises). If you want to be successful in international trade, you need to get acquainted with the tools of international business initiation and transaction.
To meet exactly those needs, the university course "Master of International Business – MIB" offers the possibility to improve strategic and operative skills in the area of international business as well as management knowledge and skills at the highest level. This university course is the ideal basic training and further training for the multiple demands of international business. With regard to international orientation, individual English-language modules are held and offered at foreign universities. The lecturers and coaches are highly qualified practitioners with many years of professional experience from all areas of international business, as well as university professors with practical experience.
Additionally, the development of strategies for international competition is of crucial significance. Internal conditions for successful international appearance must be created in businesses. This master program tremendously increases the chances of executives and junior executives in the international job market!
Venues
The master study program takes place at three international venues: Salzburg, St. Gallen, and London. The individual locations offer great infrastructure with modern classrooms. They are part of an internationally-oriented concept.

- Entrepreneurs, executives and junior executives involved with international business activity (export companies, banks, forwarding companies, etc.)
- Alumni of all fields and sectors of study seeking to acquire high-quality economy-oriented additional qualification
- People who see their occupational future in the area of international business activity
At a glance:
- Start: October 2012
- Duration: 3 semesters
- Teaching times: part-time training, usually on Fridays: 2pm – 7pm and Saturdays: 9am – 5pm
- Venue: Rif (near Salzburg) University Sports Centre
- Course fee: € 13,640.-, including examination fees (can be paid in 3 instalments)
- Participation criteria: Completed academic degree, or perennial corresponding occupational practice
- Exams: Written exams in all required subjects, Master Thesis
- Graduation from this study programme results in the internationally renowned postgraduate degree of Master of International Business (MIB)
